It took a few days, but we’ve finally settled on a name for our new puppy. We decided on Briscoe after Law & Order’s Detective Lennie Briscoe, who was played by one of my favorites, Jerry Orbach. When I moved to NYC in the Spring of 2004, I actually lived in the same apartment building as Jerry and would occasionally see him coming out of the elevator or in the lobby. Sadly, he passed away at the end of that year.
Not only do I love the name Briscoe for a dog, but I think it truly suits our little pup. Always investigating, he definitely fits the role of detective. We’ve learned that he can be quite sly and sneaky, too.
Oh, and fast. Very, very fast.
