After the home inspection yesterday, J and I had a couple of hours to finish packing our toiletries and to get our apartment in order. My dear husband was moving so slowly, I thought I might actually murder him and have to go on our honeymoon alone, but he thankfully got his act together before our friend Jamie picked us up to go to the airport.
For the first time ever, I think, our flight to NJ was on time. There were 12 passengers on board and 8 bags checked. I can’t remember being on such an empty flight. We had exit row seats, and everyone else basically had a row to themselves (with many to spare). Naturally, the young couple with the crying infant and toddler sat directly behind us.
Today J and I have nothing planned. We can finally sit back and relax in the quiet of my parents’ house, something we haven’t been able to do since he’s been back because we jumped right into looking at cars and houses. It’s nice to be able to give ourselves permission to be lazy every once in a while.
